Xaxaba - In search of the Malachite Kingfisher |
|
| On the edge of Africa's Kalahari desert an ecological miracle occurs each year. Rains that fall hundreds of miles away rush downstream until they hit a geological fault in this part of Botswana, and flood the desert, turning it into a verdant paradise for flora and fauna alike. Article describes what we saw on our way of finally finding the kingfisher. |
