The Train that floats on air |
![]() |
| When in Shanghai not long ago I saw teams of German and Chinese engineers busy on a feasibility study for a new type of train that literally floats on air and has no moving parts. More recently the Chinese government has announced that the contract to build this train immediately has been signed. Initially the Transrapid levitation train will run from Shanghai airport to the city, but once the line is completed and operating the route will probably be extended to Shanghai. |
