South African Highlights

For the visitor who only has a limited amount of time in South Africa and wants to see the best of this country, we selected three experiences and describe them in the article:

  • A trip on the Rovos Rail which is the South African version of the luxury Orient Express. This takes you into the area of some of South Africa's famous National Parks.

  • A stay at Cybele Lodge, a small boutique hotel that also organizes a helicopter tour of the area.

  • A visit to Londolozi, arguably the most fascinating and true-to-nature safari camp where we saw elephants, rhino, cheetahs, leopards, lions, giraffes, hippos and just about every other kind of wildlife that lives in this area.
