Strolling the Rue Saint-Honore -- Where the fashionable world comes to shop


For the world's privileged few, life still offers many traditional luxuries. One of the more cherished is the pleasure of seeking out the very best. Most great cities have their special shopping streets that cater to this very demanding clientele. In Los Angeles the action is in Rodeo Drive, in Berlin the Kurfurstendamm, in London it's Bond Street, in Zurich the Bahnhofstrasse and in Rome the Via Condotti.

But the title of "World's Most Prestigious Shopping Street" must surely go to the Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honore in Paris. This street and its surroundings are the epicentre of international style - certainly in the fields of fashion, jewellery and accessories.
