Mendoza - Wine Capital of Argentina

Argentine wines from Mendoza are beginning to make a name for themselves around the world, this winery - Trapiche - has one tank that holds an incredible 5.2 million litres of white table wine.
At the foot of the Andes lies Mendoza, the heart of the Argentine wine industry. Argentina is the fifth largest wine producer in the world, but her citizens drink so much of this excellent wine that until recently, not much has been exported. We visited a winery with one vat that held in excess of five million litres - large enough to hold a full symphony orchestra, and needed 4 propellers slowly wheeling in the wine to keep it at the correct mix. Mendoza's population is primarily of Italian descent and the article describes our visit to this town and its winery.
