Lugano Lake and suburbs.
Strolling around Lugano's waterfront Civic Park on a sunny spring day is one of my happiest memories of this Swiss city. Located near the Italian/Swiss border, on the Lago di Lugano, this city is a happy blend of the two countries' cultures and traditions, with locals considering the border - located in its suburbs, more of a formality than a barrier. This short (700 words) article describes the town and some interesting day trips to be experienced from Lugano.
