Li Li's - Master Of Imperial Chinese Cuisine Holds Court In Australia

Li Li is the great granddaughter of the Manchurian General that was in charge of the Imperial Kitchen during the time of the last Emperor. The recipes of the court were written down and carefully hidden during the Red Guard Revolution. When Li Li started cooking and specialising in these she won a competition for fine cuisine.

With this honor under her belt she then set up one of the first private restaurants in Beijing which soon became so popular that even the US Secretary of State had to be turned away from dining there one evening. Now Li Li has relocated her restaurant in Australia and the article tells about her restaurant's history and what one can expect at the remarkable Imperial banquets.
