Leeds Castle |

| On the way to the channel ferry from London, the road takes one close to Leeds Castle (actually located in Kent), which is one of the best-preserved and most historic castles in England. Several English Queens lived here, and even today it is used as a maximum-security meeting place for heads of state and the like. When no special events are taking place, the castle is open to the public and gives the visitor to England an amazing insight into the way British Royalty and aristocracy lived in the past. |
