| When one of the world's richest men at the time, Antenor Patino, the Bolivian tin-magnate, bowed to his wife's wish to build a resort dedicated to the world's "Movers and Shakers", he did not do things by halves. Scouting the world for a suitable location, he eventually selected a beautiful peninsula in Mexico --- and bought all of it. He then financed the local government to build a jet-port capable of taking 747s, and hired an architect to build a magical resort that has to be seen to be believed. It was later the setting for the movie "Ten" with Bo Derek, but the resort is even more stunning than it looks in that film. Article takes you there and explains what makes it so special. |
