Melbourne is acknowledged by many experts as the gourmet capital of the Southern Hemisphere. Now, each year this city has a food festival that brings lovers of food and wine to Melbourne and part of this is the Harvest Picnic at Hanging Rock. An hour or so out of Melbourne, the area was immortalised in the Australian movie 'Picnic at Hanging Rock', and each year the food festival committee organises a country picnic that becomes a showcase for Australian produce - and a lot of fun to attend.
