The Eco-lodges of Far North Queensland |
|
| A description of three of the new breed of eco-tourist lodges that are springing up in the Amazon-like Daintree tropical rainforest. These resorts have small individual villas set right into the rainforest. From here one may take 4WD daytrips to explore the marvels of an area where crocodiles still roam free in local rivers, and those who are sufficiently patient and observant can see pythons hiding in the foliage of the riverside trees, waiting for unsuspecting birds who settle on branches nearby to become their lunch. |
