A Day on the Amazon - In Search of the Piranha |
![]() The Piranha's teeth are that fish's lethal weapon. |
| Sitting in an inflatable Zodiac, in which we head into Amazon tributaries from our exploration ship each morning, we fish for the notorious piranha. “It’s better to eat them than the other way around”, says our Brazilian guide with a grin, and then proceeds to tell us all about these amazing fish. That evening, our ship’s chef cooks our catch, which are delicious and taste just like snapper. This was one of our many adventures that we have experienced on our several trips to multi-faceted Brazil. |
