| The famous Orient Express organisation has set up a remarkable soft adventure trip up the Irrawaddy from Began to Mandalay in Myanmar, formerly called Burma. The vessel is a converted-to-luxury Rhine steamer which had to be totally rebuilt and refitted in Europe then piggy-backed to Asia to its new home on Burma's Irrawaddy. The trip along this ancient river is as fascinating as the country itself and the article explains why this is so. |
