Horse Drawn Post-Coach Idyll Through Bavaria

To travel through Bavaria following the route of Kind Ludwig's post coaches is both charming and serendipitous.
Not far from Munich I stumbled on a most interesting and different holiday opportunity in Bavaria. An ex-German naval officer has acquired several antique post-coaches dating back to last century, has restored them beautifully, and now runs horse-drawn coach tours of Bavaria, following the route of the post-coaches of mad King Ludwig. This is an unusual and leisurely way of discovering this lovely part of Germany and can make for a fabulous holiday.
