| Nassau in the Bahamas seems an unusual source for superb cigars, as tobacco is not even grown here. Yet this is where a new cigar-making project is setting cigar-aficionados alight. The reason? Avelino Lara who, for years, rolled Fidel Castro’s personal cigars, and was responsible for setting up the famous Cohiba cigar factory in Cuba is now in charge of a small boutique cigar factory, the products of which have the critics in raptures. The project also includes the Graycliff Resort, which includes the best gourmet restaurants, smoking rooms, an outstanding wine cellar and accommodation that is considered by most as the finest in the Bahamas. The project is the dream-come-true of entrepreneur and cigar lover Enrico Garzaroli and the article describes what is being offered here. |
