Buddy Bombard, Balloonist Extraordinaire

My wife and I are keen hot air balloonists, and have often flown with Buddy Bombard, who runs the largest private fleet of hot air balloons in the world. Based in France, he is a remarkable man and outstanding exponent of this art. Before taking up ballooning, he crewed in four America's Cup Yacht races, he was a jet jockey in the U.S. Air Force and he now operates luxury ballooning trips for North America's 'movers and shakers'. (He also taught Malcolm Forbes to fly hot air balloons).

His aerial discovery voyages take place in Czechoslovakia, Italy, the Loire, Burgundy, Switzerland and more recently Cappadoccia in Turkey. We have been on several of these, during which time we've got to know Buddy and the crews well.
