BATH – A STEP BACK INTO BRITAIN'S HISTORY

Just over an hour from London, British Rail, rarely thought of as an H.G. Wellsian time machine, had taken us back two hundred and two thousand years respectively – to Regency England and then to the Roman spa that had provided rest and recreation for Caesar's imperial legions. However, there is more to this charming town than its Regency architecture and the famous Roman hot springs. This 1700 word article provides some history of Bath and some suggestions for things to see and do whilst visiting there.
